September,2011,visiting NMK Hyrax hill Nakuru


Early in the morning i receive a call from Kenya wildlife service in the central Rift,that i was suppose to visit the national museum of Kenya in Nakuru county called the Hyrax Hill Museum.after the bustle and hustle of the busy and the cleanness town in east Africa Nakuru.i went straight to the museum Hill through the gate guided by the post in the main gate.i was welcomed by a gentleman in the reception then directed to the guide who will show me all around.i was lucky to meet George Gitonga.then he started by showing me the Mary leaky small hut back in 1928 when she was doing the researches of the Sirikwa people who were living in this hill before become extinct.we were also lucky to visit the small safe refuge for the leopard tortoises feeding and George was so much knowledge to explained to me more about them.
what an amazing was also the view of the Nakuru outskirt from the Hyrax Museum hill;Lake view and other industrial areas.
